By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available energy in the panels is captured and stored. The advantage of this is most noticeable when it is partly cloudy outside and the brightness is constantly changing.

Remote monitoring and control - built-in Bluetooth
You can remotely monitor and control the various functions of the Smart Solar MPPT charger by connecting via Bluetooth and pairing it with your smartphone or another device via VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the Victron Remote Management (VRM) internet portal, you can access the full power of the MPPT anytime, anywhere, and both services are free of charge. For remote installation – even when there is no internet connection or phone coverage nearby – you can potentially monitor your MPPT by pairing it via Bluetooth to an optional LoRaWAN (long-range wide area network) device.

Load output
The intelligent load output feature prevents damage caused by discharged batteries. You can set the voltage level at which Smart Solar will disconnect a load, preventing your batteries from being drained unnecessarily. And here comes the smart part: Smart Solar will try to achieve a 100% charge every day. If that is not possible – during periods of bad weather – the device will raise the disconnect voltage level daily until it succeeds. We call this feature BatteryLife because it maintains the health of the battery and extends its lifespan.
